These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of cratemate.app (the “Site”) and any associated apps, APIs, and services owned or operated by CrateMate (operated by Juan Flores). By using the Site, you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
Two related documents also apply: our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy.
You’re responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach. We may suspend or disable accounts that fail to comply with these terms.
We reserve the right to change a username at our discretion if it’s inappropriate, offensive, misleading, impersonates someone, or infringes on another person’s rights.
When using CrateMate, you must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. This includes any content you upload, import, or share through the Site. You’re responsible for your contributions and indemnify us for any breach.
You retain ownership of the content you add to CrateMate (your collection data, notes, plays, and so on). By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the service for you.
We may remove content that, in our reasonable opinion, violates these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. You’re responsible for backing up content you consider important.
Some features of CrateMate are available only with a paid subscription (CrateMate Pro). Subscription terms, pricing, and trial conditions are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store your full payment details. You can cancel a paid subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We make reasonable efforts to keep CrateMate available and accurate, but we don’t guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will remain available. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features for operational, legal, or safety reasons. We’ll try to give you reasonable notice of material changes.
CrateMate connects to third-party services (such as Discogs, Spotify, and Last.fm) at your direction. Your use of those services is governed by the terms of their respective providers. Links from CrateMate to third-party sites are provided for convenience and don’t imply our endorsement.
CrateMate uses the Discogs API but is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Discogs. “Discogs” is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC. Other trademarks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners.
You may not use any automated tool (bot, scraper, crawler, or similar) to access, copy, monitor, or republish any portion of the Site or its data without our prior written permission. This includes any text or data mining for the purpose of training AI models or generating derivative datasets.
We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, CrateMate is provided “as is,” and we exclude all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We’re not liable for any loss of profits, business, data, or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site.
CrateMate is provided for personal, non-commercial use. If you intend to use it for any commercial purpose, please contact us first.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You can stop using the Site and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. content licence, liability, indemnity) will continue to apply.
We may update these terms from time to time for operational or legal reasons. We’ll let you know of material changes. Continued use of CrateMate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
